The advanced credential for clinicians who go further because children deserve practitioners who specialize.
The Pediatric Pelvic Health Advanced Practitioner (PPHAP) Certificate Program is a rigorous, fully online credential designed for physiotherapists, occupational therapists or other credentialed allied health care professionals who are ready to advance in this specialty.
Built on real clinical practice, evidence-based reasoning, and a deep commitment to trauma-informed, child centered care, PPHAP equips practitioners with the advanced skills, frameworks, and credentials to lead in this specialty.
Here’s Why
1. A credential that means something. PPHAP is awarded on demonstrated competency — not just course completion. Your certificate reflects what you can actually do.
2. Built for real practice. Every component of PPHAP — from case study to clinical resource — uses your actual patients, your actual setting, and your actual clinical reasoning.
3. Designed for PTs and OTs. PPHAP honors these scopes and our allied health colleagues — you’ll develop advanced skills within your professional identity, not despite it.
4. Trauma-informed and child-safe from the ground up. Ethics, consent, and child safety aren’t add-ons. They’re woven through every component and assessment.
This is not another online course. It is a professional credential — earned through demonstrated competency, not just completion.
5. Recognized and renewable. The PPHAP credential is listed on the Kids Bowel and Bladder Graduate Registry and renewed every 3 years — keeping your credential current and your practice accountable.
6. Fully online — designed for busy clinicians. No residential requirements. No set class times. Learn and complete your capstone around your clinical life.

WHO IS THIS FOR?
PPHAP is designed for physiotherapists, occupational therapists and allied healthcare professionals who:
- Already have foundational knowledge in pelvic health and are ready to go deeper
- Work with children — or want to — and know that kids are not small adults
- Are tired of piecing together knowledge from adult pelvic health courses that weren’t built for pediatric practice
- Want a credential that reflects the specialist they already are — and the advanced practitioner they are becoming
- Are committed to trauma-informed, child-safe, family-centered care
If you’re a PT, OT or allied healthcare provider who sees pediatric pelvic health patients and you want the clinical depth, professional recognition, and advanced frameworks to truly lead in this space — PPHAP was built for you.
What Makes PPHAP Different?
There are pelvic health courses. There are pediatric courses. There are trauma-informed workshops. PPHAP brings them together — in a single, coherent, advanced practice credential that was purpose-built for this specialty.
Here’s what that means in practice:
- Your capstone uses a real, complex case from your own practice — not a textbook scenario
- Assessment is competency-based — you demonstrate what you can do, not just what you know
- PT, OT, and other scopes are honored — you’re assessed within your professional framework
- Trauma-informed and ethical practice isn’t a module — it’s threaded through every assessment
- You leave with a clinical resource or position statement that contributes to the field
- Your credential is listed on the PPHAP Graduate Registry — visible to employers, referrers, and families
