Let’s go beyond the basics and get into BOOTCAMP!!
How is this program different?
As a pediatric pelvic floor physical therapist, I am most interested in looking at your entire child and not just their bladder/bowel function or their bladder/bowel muscles (pelvic floor muscles). There is more to this program that needs to be addressed with the core muscles, breathing and the rib cage!

Bowel and bladder dysfunctions are multifaceted- it’s not just about fluid intake, bladder irritants, snoring, sleep disturbances and constipation although those are all important considerations.
There are so many reasons why children wet the bed and I am here to give your insight into a few of them that you may not have looked at yet and expand on some you have.
You will:
Learn how to look at your child’s posture, rib cage, how they use their abdominal (core) muscles and understand how that relates to the pelvic floor muscles (bowel and bladder muscles) with the ability to control both urine and stool.
Learn how to use the pelvic floor muscles the way they should be used functionally and not EVER stop and start the flow of urine while on the toilet. (If you are doing that please stop!)
Understand how breathing diaphragm works with the pelvic muscles and why that matters.
Recognize why you keep going around and around with loose stools and leakage to constipation and learn how to stop it.
Be able to teach your child how to begin to feel and sense what their body is telling tell and be better able to react to signals of the body.
Learn how to coordinate breathing with the pelvic floor muscles for bladder and bowel control.
Learn how to meet your child where they are whether they are a typical developing child or a child with special needs.
Learn why rewards don’t work!
My goal is to give you some simple steps and provide some new things to fill in the missing blanks and put the whole picture together for you so you and your family can go back to doing the things that you care about the most.
